How to use water-soluble compound fertilizer

Water soluble compound fertilizers are soluble in water and are more easily absorbed by crops, but mastering the correct usage method can improve absorption and utilization efficiency. Below, we will provide a detailed introduction on how to use water-soluble compound fertilizers.

① Select fertilizer based on irrigation facilities

There is an indicator called "water-insoluble content" for water-soluble compound fertilizers. Generally, drip irrigation requires a water-insoluble content of less than 0.2%, micro spray irrigation requires a water-insoluble content of less than 5%, spray irrigation requires a water-insoluble content of less than 15%, and drip irrigation requires even lower levels. Usually, the lower the content of insoluble substances in water, the better the fertilizer efficiency and the higher the relative fertilizer price.

② Avoid direct application

We need to adopt a secondary dilution method. Ensure uniform fertilization, improve fertilizer utilization efficiency, and reduce leaching losses caused by one-time large-scale fertilization based on the characteristics of continuous nutrient absorption by crops.

③ Pay attention to details in drip irrigation fertilization

When drip irrigation fertilization, first drip clean water and wait for the pipeline to be filled with water before starting fertilization. The longer the fertilization time, the better. Immediately drip water for 20-30 minutes after fertilization, and drain all residual fertilizer from the pipeline.

④ Avoid excessive irrigation

Generally, keeping the soil layer moist within a depth of 20-40 centimeters is sufficient.

⑤ Regarding mixed use

Try to use it alone or in combination with non alkaline pesticides to prevent metal ions from reacting and precipitating, which can cause leaf fertilizer or pesticide damage.

Water soluble compound fertilizers must be mixed with water before use, and the amount used is not necessarily the more the better. It must be reasonably proportioned according to the growth of crops, and the principle of small amounts and multiple times can be followed.
